My friend Dana is super talented and made Jack a beautiful wallcovering. She is amazing at what she does and has her own etsy shop in case anyone is interested. She does custom work and makes great bibs. Oh and she happens to be a great friend.

So apparently Jack had an accident. We had just finished dinner and then we hear a scream from the playroom. Go in there and we find Jack curled in a ball with apparently a new face tattoo.

But he has survived and the scab has fallen off now and looks like there won't be much scar.

Now for Labor Day at Aunt Linnie's

Every year for as long as I can remember my great aunt Linnie has had a labor day pool party and all my cousins and extended family come. It is lots of fun and this year the whole family went. At least our whole family went. We had a good time!!

First a Trip to the Zoo

The whole fam decided to take a trip to the zoo. We met a few of mama's friends there and had a wonderful time despite the extrememly warm weather. And when I say warm I mean super hot, sweaty, sticky, humid mess that we were dealing with in Asheboro NC.

We met Matty, Leah and Bryant and a few other friends too. Matty is below and he is the same age as Jack.

We saw some very lazy animals that day. Most were just laying around not doing too much since it was so HOT!

Here is a picture of Jack's mama and Leah posing with the babies. We are outside of the sea lion exhibit. Now they were cool. They were constantly swimming in the water and Jack loved them. He didn't want to leave!

Jack was exhausted and slept the whole ride home.

We will definitely plan another trip there... maybe when it was cooler since the animals weren't moving too much!! Plus we didn't get to see the giraffes and everyone knows they are our favorites.

Busy Weekend

We had an extremely usy weekend. I have lots of great pictures but I have to upload them first. Just as a preview to the fun festivities I will post... we went to the NC Zoo, we went to a labor day pool party and Jack got his first major boo boo.

CLYDE

For those of you who don't see Jack everyday, you may not have had the privilege of meeting Clyde. Clyde was a gift from "Aunt Amy" and Matthew in Missouri. Clyde travelled a long way to join our family. He was born in Germany ( I think ) and rode a plane to get to us. Clyde is very special to us and even more special to Jack. It was an immediate attachment and Clyde had to come to bed with him every night. Clyde is great!!

A trip down memory lane

I was asked to post the very first picture taken of Jack. This is what I have. Now remember i had a c-section so this is perhaps 3 minutes after being removed from me. Mark got to carry him down the hall to the nursery, where they cleaned him up, put on his lowjack and basically made him a presentable baby! Excuse the ink spots, this is still the internet and anyone can see these!

Oh and just for kicks.... right before the bad labor started!!

And because I am feeling very nostalgic... Jack at 7 weeks!! Looks like a little gummy bear!

It is hard to believe how much he has grown. But he is a big boy now. he eats chicken nuggets, chases cats, builds tall towers and brushes his own teeth. WOW!

I got some great new video of Jack. Video has been slacking recently due to the unfortunate demise of my point and shoot camera. I just got a new camera that will shoot video.

Jack has lots of new tricks but first an oldie but goodie. Jack's dancing skills never cease to amaze me. The hubby said that he takes after me with his dancing... decide for yourself.

Sorry it is sideways... I can't figure out how to turn it ( atually I think I know I am just too lazy to correct it now)!

Two weekends ago, we attended Miss Evie's first birthday. It was at a great park near our house. Jack and I had a great time but the hubby was home sick. I never want to be a single mom. It is hard work!!! My hat goes off to single moms everywhere. Jack got to play with Miss Reagan, Miss Kathryn and lots of other kiddos. They are very cute together.

They had this cool tunnel playground thing. Jack and all the kids loved it!!

All in all it was a great day and we had lots of fun playing outside.

The cloud of sickness is slowly lifting...

I hope!! Oh my goodness do I hope. Besides everyone being a little sicky and the Hubby being really sick, The Commonwealth Games were this weekend. So we have been busy little bees. I have a few pics to upload from Friday before the real fun started here. The 4th was OK... Jack and I were supposed to be in Richmond but since I knew the sickness was coming we just stayed home and kept our germs here.

Jack's new game is to get his coke bank from his room and carry it around. It is almost as big as him... but it is a little light on coin so he can carry it. He likes to hug it as well!!

Then he runs into his room and shuts the door!! He is growing up so much!

I hope to post some more this week now that almost everyone in the house is better.

Very cool hail... sounds horrible but didn't do any damage to anything at our place. I did get some great pictures!

Jack ate great all day yesterday! It was wonderful... no fussing, no quarreling, no crying and Jack didn't cry either! I think I am beginning to get this whole parenting thing.

It was time for the hair to get out of his eyes. His first cut was a mama cut but when I get a little more prepared I will take him to the local place to get a cool surfer style do. My baby is now a officially a toddler now. (sigh)

Fun with Jack and Reagan

We had friends over for dinner and the kids really enjoy playing together. I was hoping they would get to play outside with some of Jack's new toys. But there was a huge thunderstorm in the afternoon and everything was still soaking wet after dinner. Jack and Reagan had a great time playing inside on the new slide last night! They were so tired after all that playing or at least Jack was. He crashed hard after they left. But they kept sliding over and over and OVER again!

So you get the idea... they had a great time and Jack slept great last night!! WOOHOO!

So I got Jack this fancy school bus playtent thing. He seems to enjoying playing with it. He throws toys through the windows and skylights (didn't I mention it was fancy school bus) and then goes in the side door and out the back. He repeats about 100 times. So I got a few cute pics of him and the playtent tonight...

So I am going about uploading the pics and found the above gems. Then the next picture pops up and .... well let me tell you... I had to LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!!

Well I am truly on a roll now. This isn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. This is pretty easy to keep up with.

So Jack's new thing is singing. He sings to Mickey Mouse, regular TV, the car radio and then just to himself. Tonight while the hubby and I were eating dinner and Jack was rearranging my Tupperware cabinet, I started to notice a sound. So I perked up my ears and listened to my sweet child singing while he worked. It was adorable!! I have no idea what he was singing about or what tune it was, but it was fabulous. I will try to get video tomorrow but for tonight I will post a cute picture for you!! One of my recent favorites!!

So I have decided to become a sheep. My mother in law (MIL) told me today that she had not seen a certain picture of Jack and I had to say, "Yeah I haven't been good about sending new pics." In my defense, the pictures from my new camera are really big files and I can only send like 4 at a time (it is a nice problem to have... trust me I love my new camera). I am hoping this will really help me get more pictures out there to the people who want to see them. And also help everyone stay up to date with the Jack man.
